Peter Jadoonath was born in 1975, “ The Year of the Rabbit”, he’s been drawing and making things like a rabbit ever since. Peter was raised as a city kid on the West Side of St. Paul, and later finished high school in Eagan, Minnesota. In the fall of 1993, Peter enrolled at Bemidji State University in northern Minnesota, which was a breath of fresh air. He attended Bemidji State from 1993-1998, where he earned a B.F.A in Studio Ceramics and Painting. Since Y2K , Peter has been a active member of the Minnesota Pottery Community. Peter finds great enrichment from face to face exchanges with pottery people at local art fairs, regional studio tours, gallery exhibitions, invitational home sales, and his annual Backyard Fall Pottery Sale. Ceramic education is a critical aspect of Peter’s passion for pottery making, he has taught at many regional art centers, he has been a faculty member of Northern Clay Center since 2005. Peter and his amazing wife, Emily, and their two little girls live north of the Twin Cities metro area, where they are busy charming chickens and battling buckthorn.
