East Fork Pottery

Website

East Fork Pottery sits at the end of an old tobacco field, between steep green mountains, outside Asheville, North Carolina. Founded in 2010 by Alexander Matisse, East Fork is now home to business partner John Vigeland and a growing team of apprentices and staff.

Though Matisse and Vigeland share traditional ceramic roots, East Fork’s focus has shifted to making a standardized line of handmade, contemporary dinnerware for homes and restaurants. Using old-world craftsmanship and efficient modern kilns, East Fork strives to make work that is timeless, beautiful, and useful.

The company has worked in creative partnership with brands like Calvin Klein Home and with chefs from across the country. Their work has been featured in magazines such as Garden and Gun, Food and Wine, American Craft and others.
Above all else, they love to make pottery that is useful and approachable, for customers to use in their daily rituals for years to come.
