I’ve been a student of kid culture and children’s media for many years. I was a founding partner of BIG BLUE DOT, Corey McPherson Nash and most recently NASHBOX, where I have honed my expertise in the creative development of kids products and programming for the entertainment, consumer product and publishing worlds.

I have had the good fortune of working with Nickelodeon, PBS, ABC, Comedy Central, Disney, Mattel, Microsoft, Milton Bradley and the Boston Children’s Museum.

I’ve taught at Boston University, Northeastern University and The Art Institute of Boston and established the Illustration Department at The Maine College of Art. Currently, I am the Director of Illustration Institute, a nonprofit that provides exhibitions, lectures, films and workshops on illustration to public libraries throughout the world.

I’ve illustrated over fifty children’s books, including Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp and Flat Stanley.

I am the author and illustrator of a few books including: TUFF FLUFF, The Case of Duckies Missing Brain, The High Skies Adventures of Blue Jay the Pirate and Shrunken Treasures.

I live and work with my wife, collage artist and illustrator, Nancy Gibson Nash, in our studios in Portland and on Peaks Island.
